Sanctus Sulpicius
A research project into the life of the titular saint and his contemporaries. Known as “the Pious”, Sulpicius was the Archbishop of Bourges in 7th century France. This static website will index primary and secondary sources about: Merovingian France, King Dagobert, other Frankish kings, St Desiderius and his letters, other saints of the same period, history of Bourges, medieval society. I also have a blog here, where I comment on these sources and keep track of my research.
The background image is the Church of Saint-Sulpice in Paris (source).
This website will be updated sporadically as time allows.
